Military-grade tyre killer (spike tyre deflator) systems for maximum security at critical entry/exit points. Rated for 60-ton vehicles with bi-directional spike control and emergency override capability.
Overview
A tyre killer (also called a road blocker, spike strip, or tyre deflator) is a high-security device installed flush with the road surface. It features rows of hardened steel spikes that rise to puncture the tyres of unauthorized vehicles attempting forced entry.
When a vehicle is authorized, the spikes retract flat into the ground, allowing safe passage. When the spikes are raised, any vehicle attempting to pass will suffer instant tyre deflation — stopping the vehicle without damaging the undercarriage.
ParkYou tyre killers are built for Indian road conditions with a robust galvanized steel housing, hydraulic or pneumatic actuation, and a weatherproof design that handles monsoon flooding and heavy traffic loads.
Process
Vehicle approaches the tyre killer installation point. System is in armed (spikes-up) position by default.
Authorized operator triggers retraction via remote, RFID, or access card — spikes lower flat into the ground.
Vehicle passes over the now-flat surface safely. System raises again automatically after a set interval.
Any unauthorized vehicle hitting raised spikes suffers immediate tyre deflation — vehicle is stopped.
Features
Stop unauthorized vehicles cold — any vehicle attempting to force past raised spikes gets immediate tyre deflation.
1.5-second retraction speed allows quick passage for authorized vehicles without creating queues.
Handles heavy vehicles including trucks, buses, and armored vehicles without structural damage.
Control traffic in one or both directions independently with separate control channels.
IP67-rated housing handles monsoon flooding — no rust, no jamming, no corrosion.
Manual hand-pump override for emergency vehicle access during power failure or system fault.
Instant alerts sent to security personnel when a tyre killer activation is triggered.
Sealed hydraulic system requires minimal maintenance. Typical service interval: 12 months.
Applications
Protect parliament buildings, courts, and administrative offices from vehicle-borne threats.
